Saturated 93/7 TGIC Polyester Resin for Powder Coating with Excellent Levelling
◎Introduction
NH3309C is a saturated carboxyl polyester resin for a polyester/TGIC powder coating system with excellent levelling. It is also suitable to mix with acrylic or matting agent to produce low gloss or matt powder coatings.
Depending on the application, a semi-gloss or matt powder coating is sometimes required. In order to reduce the gloss of the coating film, the commonly used matting agents are ultrafine silica, talc, aluminum stearate, calcium stearate, low molecular thermoplastic resin, etc. To get the matting effect, you can use the following methods:
1. Mix the powder coatings with different curing speed by dry mixing method, then the gloss of the obtained coating film will obviously decrease, and it will play a matting effect.
2. Add thermoplastic resin.
3. Use special curing agent with matting effect.
4. Add a filler with matting effect.
