93/7 Durable Saturated TGIC Polyester Resin for Fast Curing Powder Coatings System
◎Introduction
NH3382 is a saturated polyester resin, mainly used in fast curing polyester/TGIC powder coating systems.
The use of fast-curing powder coatings can solve the problem of curing efficiency and greatly shorten the powder curing time, thus providing a good direction for the spray curing of large and large workpieces.
For fast-curing powder coatings, the traditional concept is that adding a curing accelerator in powder coating formulation design can easily achieve the purpose of fast curing; however, excessive reliance on additives often brings other bad criticisms, such as poor leveling, yellowing, and fading after baking, poor thermal storage performance of powder, etc.
The use of fast-curing polyesters in powder coatings often helps in the following aspects. For example: (1) Increase the crosslinking density, thereby improving the mechanical properties of the coating film such as hardness, cross-cut adhesion, and impact resistance; (2) Reduce the curing temperature or shorten the curing time to achieve low-temperature curing or rapid curing; (3) ) to hinder the melting and leveling of the powder, and to achieve the control of the size of the texture and the appearance of the three-dimensional sense; (4) to interfere with the slow or medium-speed curing system, and to reduce the apparent gloss while leveling.
