Low Curing 93/7 TGIC Polyester Resin For Durable Thermosetting Powder Coatings
◎Introduction
NH3366-2 is a saturated polyester resin designed for TGIC powder coating systems.
Powder coating is a new material based on petrochemical industry. It is composed of low molecular weight resin, auxiliary agents, pigments and fillers, and has certain appearance, luster and color after curing under certain conditions. Once the powder coating is cured, its low molecular resin becomes a polymer with ultra-high molecular weight due to chemical crosslinking, so it has a series of properties such as elasticity, toughness and chemical resistance.
However, when building profiles are powder coated and placed in the outdoor natural environment, their coating film will inevitably be affected by various factors, such as sunlight, acid rain, etc. After a period of time, the coating film will undergo a series of changes, which can be manifested as the decline of luster, the fading of color, the appearance of rust spots or cracks on the coating surface, and the beginning of slight pulverization. This requires that the powder coating has a certain weather resistance.
